LETTERS FROM DENVER, day 44 THE POWER OF WORDS

on February 13, 2015

Have your ever stopped to think about the words you are using every single minute of your life?

What type of words do you  usually use?

How do they make you feel? What emotions do you convey to others when you speak?

Words are all-powerful and they have the capability of either to bring you to the clouds or drop you into a hole.

Words  have the power to make you feel joy, satisfaction, excitement, self-assurance, pride, and love, among other positive emotions, or  they have the power to make you feel sadness, anger, frustration, shame, ridicule and heaviness of heart.

This is why it is so utterly important to consider the words we use in our every day lives, and how we speak to OURSELVES.

How many times do you find yourselves saying:

I CAN DO IT. I AM TRYING MY BEST. I AM SUCCEEDING. I AM A WONDERFUL BOY/GIRL/SON/DAUGHTER/STUDENT/FRIEND. I LOVE LIFE. I AM THANKFUL.

And how many times do you find yourselves saying:

I CAN’T DO IT. I WILL FAIL. NO ONE LOVES ME. I HATE YOU. I’M NOT ARTISTIC. I’M NOT SMART. I’M AFRAID.

Listen to your own thoughts and change the words you use to speak to yourself and you will se how life improves for you and for those around you.

Make it an experiment. Discuss it with your teachers. Write to me and tell me how you feel.

Remember, I LOVE YOU ALWAYS AND I AM CONSTANTLY THINKING OF WAYS TO HELP YOU IN ANY WAY I CAN.
