A few days ago while I was visiting you, Mr. Kay talked to you about loving kindness and what it really means. I couldn’t agree more.
The way we make others feel says a lot about ourselves. If we try our best to be kind to others, to make them feel loved, it means that we are actually good persons who are empathetic to the feelings of others.
If you are going to be anything in life, be kind. Kindness doesn’t cost a dime, it is free. Kindness is never wasted. Mark Twain, a very famous american author, said: “Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.”
Kindness means having the ability to speak with love, listen with patience and act with compassion.
Hellen Keller, was an american lady who was born deaf and blind. She learned to speak, read and write because she had an extraordinary teacher, Ann Sullivan. With time Hellen grew to be a writer and one of the things she said was: “The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched, they must be felt with the heart.”
Kindness is one of the most beautiful things in the world. Live it.
Good morning, Miss Lilian.
Thank you for your words. It has always been very important to me to teach my students about kindness. This has given us the opportunity to really talk about it and embrace it as a way of life. Helping them focus on the kindness of their tone of voice, on their kindness towards those who are different, making them aware of the impact our words have on others… It has been very rewarding.
With loving kindness, 4A
P.S. As always, we loved the video!

Good morning Miss Lilian,
So important to be kind to each other on a daily basis. “It’s nice to be important, but it’s more important to be nice.” I love this quote from John Templeton. Thank you for the blog and video.
Kind regards, Miss Alma.

Dear Miss Lilian
We loved the wonderful video you sent us ! Especially what one of the girls in it said “the outside is just the cover of the book, the inside could be a great story” If we could just take the time to get to know one another and always show kindness.
We love you 2nd A and B.

Good morning Miss Lillian, this was so heart warming!
The children were so quiet reflecting on the words and video. Mark Twain’s words made quite an impact on all of us, we have Hellen Keller’s biography in the classroom and we are reading it as a group, they are really enjoying it. (A little shocked, I might add)
Children send their love. See you soon.

Hello Miss Lilian!
Thank you for your words. After we read it, we shared moments of when we had been kind to other people and how does that made us feel. The kids really enjoyed the video and felt connected to the ideas the kids in the video had. Being kind helps our heart grow a little bit more everyday. We hope to see you soon!
Lots of love from 3rd B and Miss Penelope.

HI Miss Lilian
First graders think:
It was amazing! I loved it!
The things that the kids said were very pretty.
It was super kind.
The people that think in love and kindness are so beautiful.
We need to be kind with our friends.
Be kind to others!
Be kind to everyone.
Even if somebody is different we have to play with him and make him happy.
I think is important to be kind to people so they do not feel bad.
We were very moved after watching the video. Thank you for taking the time to share this with our students.
Have a Magical Day!
Hope to see you soon.
